Matsu-no-tsuki has less sweetness compared to the Master Class Kyo-no-miki but is nonetheless a very rich tasting matcha. It ranks highly among matcha from the Uji region and is characterized by a deep aroma, strong umami, and a sweetness comparable to chocolate.
Its richness comes from the roasting of the tencha tea leaves for just a few seconds. This process is unique to Matsu-no-tsuki. Matsu-no-tsuki is produced from tencha leaves grown on a family-owned tea farm, and picked and processed by hand.
