WHAT IS TEAPOT BOTTLE? Freshly brewed Sencha (Japanese green tea) can be enjoyed either hot or cold, with only tea leaves and hot or cold water. The shape resembles a hourglass often used to measure the brewing time for English black teas. Not only does it resemble the shape but the TEAPOT BOTTLE can be used in a similar way (only for hot sencha). Pour hot water into the bottle, place sencha tea leaves into the strainer, and tightly screw the strainer and lid onto the bottle. Then, simply flip it over for brewing. WHAT IS THE CONCEPT? With a widespread consumption of pet bottled beverages today, most people drink room temperature drinks outside. Even if you buy a hot drink at a coffee or tea shop it is likely to get cold, or at least down to a room temperature within an hour - so what does this imply? The solution TEAPOT BOTTLE came up with was to ignore the function as a thermos bottle and instead, set the heat resistant temperature to 80˚C (176˚F), the right water temperature for brewing sencha. In this way, TEAPOT BOTTLE became a teapot/ bottle exclusively for sencha brewing. TEAPOT BOTTLE comes with a strainer, a distinctive feature enabling everyone to enjoy freshly brewed sencha outside without having to carry a kyusu (teapot). MULTIPLE USAGE: TEAPOT BOTTLE can be used as a portable teapot, tea bottle with a strainer, or simply as a tumbler by removing the strainer.
