Mountain-grown on a tea field surrounded in mist every morning, this top grade gyokuro uses the prized saemidori cultivar for a rich, sweet flavor. Handpicked, and grown with traditional shading (utilizing a roof created by straw) and cultivation techniques.
The 2015 harvest won the grand prize at the 2015 Fukuoka Tea Competition, and Silver Medal at the 2015 National Tea Competition.

Tea: 3 grams. Time: 3 minutes. Water: 40˚C/102˚F degrees, 30 ml. Use soft water (low in minerals). Even with filtered water, boiling first helps to remove any unnecessary smells from the water.
For subsequent steepings (up to 4 times), enjoy as a premium sencha -- Time: 30 seconds. Water: 70-80˚C/158-176˚F degrees, 180-240 mL (1 cup).
